An apparatus To Measure The Relative Density And The Density Of A Liquid

Let M1, V1, D1 be the mass, volume, density of the standard liquid. and M2 V2 & D2 be the mass volume & density of the unknown liquid. Now as we know relative density (R.D)= D2/D1 OR RD= M2/V2/M1/V1. BUT AS IN THE APPARATUS, V1=V2 SO RD= M2/M1 THUS BY FINDING THE MASS OF THE TWO LIQUIDS HAVEING A CERTAIN VOLUME WE CAN FIND WE CAN FIND OUT THE RELATIVE DENSITY OF THE UNKNOWN LIQUID WITH RESPECT TO THE STANDARD LIQUID.
RD W.R.T WATER:-LET M1 V1 D1 BE THE MASS VOLUME & DENSITY OF WATER & M2 V2 D2 BE THE MASS VOLUME AND DENSITY OF THE LIQUID. THEREFORE RD=D2/D1 OR RD=D2 SINCE D1=1GM/CC SO RD=M2/V2. THUS BY FINDING THE RELARIVE DENSITY OF THAT LIQUID W.R.T. WATER WE COULD BE ABLE TO FIND OUT THE DENSITY OF THE UNKNOWN LIQUID
